Menno State bank was started back in 1901. When J.W. Schnaidt started a clothing store he also had a vault. Since he had a vault he held money for many local residents. Schnaidt figured that if he held their money he might as well became a banker. So now for 103 years the bank has remained in the family. The current owner James Schnaidt, Jr. is the fourth generation of Schnaidt's to own the bank.
The bank currently employs 8 local residents. Patrons currently have the ability to use checking and savings accounts, debit and credit cards, take out a loan, even put money into an IRA. *With 103 years of business the Menno community is proud to support Menno State Bank.*
