MINUTES OF CITY COUNCIL
May 16, 2005
The purpose of this meeting was to award the bid for playground equipment for the city park and to set a hearing date for a temporary malt beverage permit for the Baseball Association.
Present at this meeting were: Mayor Larry Tolzin, Councilmen Dennis Aisenbrey, Galen Guthmiller, Gary Herman, John Huber, Jerome Kotalik, Darrell Mehlhaf, and Finance Officer Peggy Thranum.
Mayor Tolzin called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.
The following bids were received, opened and read aloud when the parks committee met at 8 p.m. on May 11:

Parks committee member Kotalik made a motion to accept the lowest bid from Crouch/Churchich in Omaha, NE for $33,671. Guthmiller seconded, all present in favor; motion carried. A meeting will be set up with Miracle representative, Mike Dobbs, for Tuesday, May 24 at 1 p.m. to discuss where the equipment will go, site preparation, etc.
Herman made a motion to set June 6 at 7:35 p.m. as the hearing date for the following permit:
Temporary Malt Beverage Permit to the Menno Baseball Association for the following dates and any dates for which the requested dates had to be rescheduled: July 4, July 24, July 26, July 28, July 30, July 31, August 2, August 4, and August 6, 2005.
Aisenbrey seconded, all present in favor; motion carried.
Aisenbrey moved to adjourn at 7:55 p.m. Huber seconded, all present in favor, motion carried.
