ORDINANCE NO. 2005-1

 

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE REVISION OF THE ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MENNO, HUTCHINSON COUNTY, SOUTH DAKOTA. 

 

            BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF MENNO, HUTCHINSON COUNTY,  SOUTH DAKOTA THAT:

 

 Section 1.        The Code entitled “2005 REVISED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF MENNO, SOUTH DAKOTA”, attached hereto, consisting of Chapters 1 through 40, each inclusive, is adopted.

 

Section 2.         This revision may also be known and cited as the “Code of Ordinances of Menno, South Dakota”, and any reference thereto or to “this code” or “the code” or “code” or “Code” within this ordinance shall refer to this revision.

 

Section 3.         Additions or amendments to the Code when passed in the form as to indicate the intention of the Council to make the same a part of the Code shall be deemed to be incorporated in the Code, so that reference to the Code includes the additions and amendments.

 

Section 4.         Ordinances adopted after August 1, 2005 that amend or refer to ordinances that have been codified in the Code shall be construed as if they amend or refer to like provisions of the Code.

 

Section 5.         This ordinance shall become effective on the 20th day after its publication unless suspended by operation of a referendum.
