The theme for the 2017 July 4 Parade is "Make America Great Again." Come to Menno to celebrate the 4th!
July 1 (Saturday):
Car Wash at the Menno Fire Hall from 8 a.m. to noon. Free will donation to benefit the Menno girls basketball team. No car too dirty for these girls!
Bean Bag Tournament at 1 p.m. at the baseball field (arrive 30 minutes early for rules explanation). Must be 18+. Concessions available at the tournament. No coolers. Call Macon Oplinger at (605) 999-4990 for more information.
Alley Dance, music from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. in the alley between the Beer Garden and Schnitz.
July 2 (Sunday):
Patriotic Community worship service at 10 a.m. in the City park. Please bring lawn chairs with your. In case of inclement weather, the service will be held in the Menno City School Auditorium.
Mini Swim Meet in Menno at 6 p.m. Bring your own chair and enjoy the meet! Questions, contact Jennifer Masterson at (605) 310-5160.

July 4 (Tuesday):
Annual Road Race: The Menno Road Races registration begins at 7:30 a.m. and the race starting at 8 a.m. at the Fire Hall at 302 S. 5th St. Races include a 10K, 5K and a kids' one-mile race. For registration information, click here: ROAD RACE
Parade: The annual 4th of July Parade will be held on July 4, beginning at 11 a.m. The Kiddy Parade starts at 10:50 a.m. All floats are to register in front of the Menno City-School Auditorium by 9:30 a.m. All floats will receive further instruction on line-up at that time. The parade route begins at the City/School auditorium and proceeds north on 5th Street to the corner of 5th & Heil. From there it goes one block east to High Street and proceeds south on High to Poplar Street. At Poplar and High the route proceeds east to Pine Street then south on Pine Street past the Menno Olivet Care Center. At the intersection of Juniper and Pine, the parade turns west onto Juniper.
Following the parade, the Menno FFA Pork Barbecue serves a meal at the Menno City/School Auditorium and the American Legion serves a meal at the American Legion Hall (301 S. 4th Street).
Games for youth at the south end of the City Park from 1:30 to 2:00 p.m. This is for youth ages 3 to 10. There will also be a coin dig for youth ages 3-5. Sponsored by Menno FCCLA Chapter and the Menno Community Club.
Baseball game at 7:30 p.m. versus Scotland. Fireworks display at the conclusion of the game.
Fireworks Sales: The Menno Athletic Club sells fireworks each year as a fundraiser for the summer sports programs for area youth. The stand is open June 27 through July 5 and is located at the corner of Hwy 18 and Pine Street--watch for signs.
