Housing Committee-Judy Headley reported that the notice of the housing survey was         to be in the Hutchinson Herald this week but will not be published until next      week’s paper. She anticipates there will be 1500-1600 printed and circulated      throughout Menno and the outlying areas, including parts of Scotland, Lesterville, and Freeman areas. The committee will meet this week with a landowner about a possible        future purchase. The regular monthly meeting of the committee is next week.

The Golden West grant in the amount of $5,000 has been approved.

Please note the All Class Reunion is scheduled for the July 4th Weekend.

Dale Weiss has indicated that he would be interested in attending the Development Conference in Sioux City in March.

A letter was received from the Highway 18 Project stating that it would be         installing a storm sewer on the corner of the property that we own on High                Street next to the highway. This would result in a purchase of a small piece   of the lot in the northeast corner by the state to let this happen. The        purchase price is to be $500.00.

Motion to approve the sale of that corner of the property-Marsha Schelske

          Seconded-Brent Haberman              Carried

There is a possibility that we could provide an area for the extra fill dirt that will be           generated by the construction on the highway. We could look at having it         deposited in the vacant lots on 5th Street or on the lot along the highway. No           action required at this time.

Motion to adjourn-Judy Headley

          Seconded by Bill Headley

Meeting adjourned with the next meeting to be held on March 16th         at the Open           Door Café at 12:00 noon.
