Menno Band Day
September 26, 2014
10:00 a.m. on 5th Street - FULL PRESS RELEASE HERE

For more information Contact Band Director, Menno School 605 387-5161

On Friday, September 26th area bands will return to Menno for the 5th Annual Menno Band Day.

The parade starts at 10:00 A.M., with the Menno Wolves marching band leading the way, followed by Tea middle school.  C-class bands will then take the street, followed by B-class, then A-class.   The Northern State University Marching band will be the last performance of the parade.   Bands will start their route at the corner of East Heil St and South High St, proceeding west until South 5th St.  Bands will then march south on South 5th St until Juniper St and turn right, marching past bands that marched prior to them and ending the route.

To make this event run smoothly, many volunteers are needed. If you are willing to provide assistance for this event, please contact Gwen Wenisch @ 605-387-5161.

The parade will start at the corner of Heil and High St (2 blocks E of Edelmans Feed).  Bands will march west to 5th St and turn right  (south) through the business district of Menno.  Bands will turn west (left) on Juniper after passing the school.  After they turn west, bands may “disband” and observe the coming groups/performances.

Parade will conclude around 11:30.  Awards Ceremony will be held at the football field immediately following the parade.  Northern State University will perform their field show prior to the winners being announced.  Concessions will be open to the public at the football field as well.
